| But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. | But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints. |
| Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. | Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. |

| Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. | Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. |
| The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. | But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. | But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. |
| It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God. | For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God. |
| He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.” | He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. | And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. | Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. |
| Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. | Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. |
| But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. | But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |

| The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. | Yahweh’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe. |
| Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. | He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken. |
| Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty. | To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend; even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty. |
| Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. | Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is covered. |
| Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. | He alone is my rock, my salvation, and my fortress. I will never be greatly shaken. |
| Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me. | For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me. |
| Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. | Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. |
