- Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
- May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose. - Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
- I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
- But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
- When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it;
For He has no pleasure in fools.
Pay what you have vowed. - The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands. - So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
- God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? - Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
- Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
- But I will sacrifice to You
With the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay what I have vowed.
Salvation is of the Lord. - Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
- The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.
- For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
- For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
- So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.
- But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
- The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us.
