- But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. - By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him.
- Not to us, Lord, not to us,
But to Your name give glory,
Because of Your mercy, because of Your truth. - For the Lord is our judge,
The Lord is our lawgiver,
The Lord is our king;
He will save us. - But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).
- For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
- For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus.
- My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
For my hope is from Him. - The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
- As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So my soul pants for You, God. - And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
- Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.
- To You, God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise,
For You have given me wisdom and power;
Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s matter. - Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
- Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was granted to us in Christ Jesus from all eternity.
- If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.
- And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
- If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age.
- Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
- God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You;
My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,
In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water. - The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
- Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble,
And He knows those who take refuge in Him.
