Instruct those who are rich in this world’s goods that they should not be proud, nor should they trust in the uncertainty of riches but rather in God who richly provides us with everything we need for our enjoyment. | Charge those who are rich in this present age that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. |
And the one who searches hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. | He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. |
He has rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. | Who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins. |
For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all is God. | For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God. |

Teach us to comprehend how few our days are so that our hearts may be filled with wisdom. | So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. |
Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal. | Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him. |
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing. | I don’t reject the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing! |
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple. | If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are. |
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you. | Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God. |
