Bible Verses about 'Giving'

  • And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
  • Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
  • You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
  • The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
    The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
  • Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.
  • Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
  • The wicked borrows and does not repay,
    But the righteous shows mercy and gives.
  • You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
  • But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
  • A man’s gift makes room for him,
    And brings him before great men.
  • Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
  • A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
    And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!
  • But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
  • And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good?
  • A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
  • Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
  • They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
  • But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.
  • And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
  • Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
  • Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
  • There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
  • Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
  • So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
