- My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a contrite and humble heart, O God,
you will not spurn. - To do your will, O God, is my delight;

- Keep in mind, therefore, that the Lord, your God, is God. He is a faithful God who keeps his covenant of mercy to the thousandth generation toward those who love him and observe his commandments.

I assert nothing more than what the Prophets and Moses said would occur: that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light to the people and to the Gentiles.

my shield and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold. - Indeed, who is God except the Lord?
Who is the Rock besides our God? - For who is God except the Lord?
Who is a rock aside from our God? - My deliverance and my glory depend on God;
he is my mighty rock and my refuge. - Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified of them, for the Lord, your God, is going forth with you. He will never leave you or abandon you.
