- Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God. - For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
- Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens:
and thy glory above all the earth. - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
- For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
- Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God. - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
- I will extol thee, my God, O king;
and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. - Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let thy glory be above all the earth. - And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.
- But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
- As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God. - What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
- Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.
- How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
- Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
- Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
- He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
- Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
- The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
