What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? | What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. | Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A person will reap only what he sows. |

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? | How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from acts that lead to death so that we may worship the living God. |
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. | Therefore, brethren, I implore you by the mercies of God to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice that is holy and acceptable to God—a spiritual act of worship. |
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. | But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. | Jesus replied, “This is the work of God: to believe in the one whom he has sent.” |
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. | You believe that there is one God. You do well to assert that. But even the demons believe and tremble. |

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? | Who indeed conquers the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? |
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. | And just as no human being comprehends any person’s innermost being except the person’s own spirit within him, so also no one comprehends what pertains to God except the Spirit of God. |
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. | This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. |
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. | Indeed, creation itself eagerly awaits the revelation of the children of God. |
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. | Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. |
And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. | Cure the sick who are there, and say, ‘The kingdom of God has come unto you.’ |
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. | And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. |

You must obey my laws and be careful to observe my ordinances. Keep holy my Sabbaths as a sign between me and you so that you will know that I am the Lord, your God. |
Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. | Restore us, O Lord of hosts; let your face shine upon us, and we will be saved. |
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name Jah, and rejoice before him. A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. | Sing to God, sing praise to his name; exalt him who rides upon the clouds. Rejoice in the presence of this God whose name is the Lord. The Father of orphans and the defender of widows: such is God in his holy dwelling place. |
