Bible Verses about 'Happiness'
- When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
- Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing,
and obtaineth favour of the Lord. - How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace;
that bringeth good tidings of good,
that publisheth salvation;
that saith unto Zion,
Thy God reigneth! - Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.
- Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
- His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
- I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
- If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
from doing thy pleasure on my holy day;
and call the sabbath a delight,
the holy of the Lord, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord;
and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth,
and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. - Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding. - He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good:
and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. - Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth:
therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. - But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Next verse!With image
