- If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.
- If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
- Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever:
for they are the rejoicing of my heart. - I will praise thee with uprightness of heart,
when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. - I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
- Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
- Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
- These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
- Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
- He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. - He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. - Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
- And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
- Seek good, and not evil,
that ye may live:
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you,
as ye have spoken. - And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
- Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
- A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
- In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.
- And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
- In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
- Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
- Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
- The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord.Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
