| He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends. | One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend. |
| He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; He who keeps understanding will find good. | To get wisdom is to love oneself; to keep understanding is to prosper. |
| He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. | But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. | But if the wicked turn away from all their sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is lawful and right, they shall surely live; they shall not die. |
| Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. | So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation. |
| And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” | And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.” |
| He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. | He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. |

He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit. |
| Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” | Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” |
| And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” | And he said to them, “Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.” |
| Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. | Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. |
| He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he. | Those who are attentive to a matter will prosper, and happy are those who trust in the Lord. |
| You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. | Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. |
