For it has been granted you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him.For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
This is how we can be certain that we abide in him and that he abides in us: he has given us a share in his Spirit.This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.

The way of God is blameless, and the Lord’s promise proves true; he is a shield to all who flee to him for safety.As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.

And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet.If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
He was despised and shunned by others, a man of sorrows who was no stranger to suffering. We loathed him and regarded him as of no account, as one from whom men avert their gaze.He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
He reveals deep and hidden mysteries and knows what lies in the darkness, for light dwells with him.He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.

All those who keep his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And the proof that he abides in us is the Spirit that he has given us.The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
