| God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law. | When anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayer is detestable. |
| Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever! | The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; those who are guided by it will grow in understanding. His praise will last forever. |

| Don’t envy violent people or copy their ways. | And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. | And my God will fully supply all your needs out of the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. |
