- Observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.
- Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds;
rejoice before him—his name is the Lord.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling. - He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he. - In my distress I called to the Lord;
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him, into his ears. - Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. - But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children—
with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts. - He builds his lofty palace in the heavens
and sets its foundation on the earth;
he calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out over the face of the land—
the Lord is his name. - See, the enemy is puffed up;
his desires are not upright—
but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness. - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
- A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. - I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. - You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
- Can a man walk on hot coals
without his feet being scorched? - For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
- Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name. - In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
- “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
- He sent out his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave. - If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
- I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips. - The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace. - Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart. - For the Lord takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
