- He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
- For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people.
He crowns the humble with salvation. - There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
- Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous.
His ears listen to their cry. - Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
- Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised!
His greatness is unsearchable. - For Yahweh gives wisdom.
Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. - She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.
- But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
- If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.
- A wise son makes a glad father;
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. - With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor,
but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge. - Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good,
for his loving kindness endures forever. - His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.
- For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.
- He who walks blamelessly and does what is right,
and speaks truth in his heart;
he who doesn’t slander with his tongue,
nor does evil to his friend,
nor casts slurs against his fellow man. - The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- That he may guard the paths of justice,
and preserve the way of his saints. - But he knows the way that I take.
When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps.
I have kept his way, and not turned away. - Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him,
on those who hope in his loving kindness. - The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom.
All those who do his work have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever! - By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die. - Like a father has compassion on his children,
so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.
