- With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor,
but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge. - Yahweh bless you, and keep you.
Yahweh make his face to shine on you,
and be gracious to you.
Yahweh lift up his face toward you,
and give you peace. - Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous.
His ears listen to their cry. - He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die. - Blessed are those who keep his statutes,
who seek him with their whole heart. - But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
- For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people.
He crowns the humble with salvation. - Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised!
His greatness is unsearchable. - For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.
- For Yahweh gives wisdom.
Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. - Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
- Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
- A wise son makes a glad father;
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. - If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.
- Seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.
- Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good,
for his loving kindness endures forever. - She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.
- The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom.
All those who do his work have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever! - The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- But he knows the way that I take.
When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps.
I have kept his way, and not turned away. - That he may guard the paths of justice,
and preserve the way of his saints. - For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.
- Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him,
on those who hope in his loving kindness. - He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
- By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
