- May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
- You shall follow the Lord your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.
- The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains,
The world, and those who live in it. - Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
- Then you will discern righteousness, justice,
And integrity, and every good path. - And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
- Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And defend the rights of the poor and needy. - Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just; and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.
- For You are my rock and my fortress;
For the sake of Your name You will lead me and guide me. - Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.”
- He sent His word and healed them,
And saved them from their destruction. - And they stripped Him and put a red cloak on Him. And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and put a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
- For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.
- The Lord makes poor and rich;
He humbles, He also exalts. - And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you.
- Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
- Now while they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
- And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
- For from Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
- Even to your old age I will be the same,
And even to your graying years I will carry you!
I have done it, and I will bear you;
And I will carry you and I will save you. - He was despised and abandoned by men,
A man of great pain and familiar with sickness;
And like one from whom people hide their faces,
He was despised, and we had no regard for Him. - Then Job got up, tore his robe, and shaved his head; then he fell to the ground and worshiped. He said,
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked I shall return there.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.” - A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty. - And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.
- And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
