- And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
- This is a faithful saying:
For if we died with Him,

- God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

- Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
- I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was extolled with my tongue. - Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.
- Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy. - Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
- If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.
- A man’s gift makes room for him,
And brings him before great men. - Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.
- Truly my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation. - Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. - So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
- But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
- Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.”
- What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
