Jesus is come soon (4/4)

  • But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.
  • I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.
  • While he was going and they were gazing up toward heaven, suddenly two men in white robes stood by them. They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
  • Indeed, all who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
  • Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
  • Therefore do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink or of observing festivals, new moons, or sabbaths. These are only a shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
  • But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.
  • When Jesus heard this, he replied, “Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.”
  • They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
  • And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.
  • But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.
  • Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
  • Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
  • Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”
  • For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.
  • The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
    his mercies never come to an end;
    they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.
  • Since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
  • And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”
  • For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
  • Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed.
  • Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
  • Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
  • From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this ought not to be so.

Bible verse of the day

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.
