| But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. | But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near through the blood of Christ. |
| And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. | And eternal life is this: to know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent, Jesus Christ. |
| But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. | Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires. |
| God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. | God is faithful, and it is by him that you have been called into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. |
