Chinese (traditional)- For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
- How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!
and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! - For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
- Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:
and with all thy getting get understanding. - A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. - Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
- There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
- Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
- But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
- He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
- He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
- And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.
