- My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
- You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever. - So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
- “Now, therefore,” says the Lord,
“Turn to Me with all your heart,
With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” - Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.
- May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
- By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
- Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
- The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid? - For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
- But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
- Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage.
- Go, eat your bread with joy,
And drink your wine with a merry heart;
For God has already accepted your works. - And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”
- That I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.
- With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love.
- But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).
- In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
And my refuge, is in God. - My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;
For length of days and long life
And peace they will add to you.
