Chinese (traditional)- The Lord will protect you against all evil;
he will watch over your life.
The Lord will watch over your coming and your going
both now and forevermore. - Who among you is wise and understanding? Prove by your good life that your works are done with the humility that comes from wisdom.
- Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may show yourselves blameless and beyond reproach, children of God without spot in the midst of an evil and depraved generation, among which you shine like lights in the world as you hold fast tenaciously to the word of life.
- For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have life. - The Lord God said, “Behold, man has become like one of us, for he has knowledge of that which is good and that which is evil. Now, we must prevent him from reaching out and taking the fruit of the tree of life lest he eat it and live forever.” The Lord God cast him out of the Garden of Eden; henceforth he was to labor tilling the soil from which he had come.
- Whoever observes the commandments will live,
but the one who scorns them will die. - Just as in Adam all die, so all will be brought to life in Christ.
- Jesus answered, “Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for my sake and for the sake of the gospel who will not receive in this age a hundred times more houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and lands—as well as persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
- Nor should you present any part of your body as an instrument for wickedness leading to sin. Rather, present yourselves to God as having been raised from death to life and the parts of your body to God as instruments for righteousness.
- And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the scrolls were opened. Then another scroll was opened, the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their deeds, as were recorded in the scrolls. The sea gave up all the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them. The dead were judged according to their deeds.
- Treasures obtained by wicked means profit nothing,
but a righteous life brings delivery from death. - For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do.
- How can a young man lead a spotless life?
By living according to your word. - The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him;
no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him. - For you are aware that you were ransomed from your futile way of life inherited from your ancestors not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
- God’s love was revealed to us in this way:
God sent his only-begotten Son into the world
so that we might have life through him. - For his anger lasts for only a moment,
while his goodwill endures for a lifetime.
Weeping may last throughout the night,
but at daybreak there is rejoicing. - God saved us and called us to a life of holiness, not because of our works but according to his own purpose and the grace that has been bestowed upon us in Christ Jesus from all eternity.
- Anyone who leads an honorable life walks in safety,
but whoever pursues wicked ways will be found out. - My life is in your hands;
deliver me from the power of my enemies,
from the clutches of those who pursue me. - Just as water reflects one’s face,
so does one human heart reflect another. - I understand that man’s greatest happiness is to be glad and do well throughout his life. And when we eat and drink and find satisfaction in all our labors, this is a gift of God.
- Just as the living Father sent me
and I have life because of the Father,
so whoever feeds upon me will live because of me. - But God is rich in his mercy, and because he had such great love for us, he brought us to life with Christ when we were already dead through sin—it is by grace that you have been saved.
Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”Next verse!With image
