For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5	God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. For the customs of the peoples are vanity; for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the ax. They deck it with silver and with gold. Don’t be afraid of them; for they can’t do evil, neither is it in them to do good. Jeremiah 10:3-5	Their ways are futile and foolish. They cut down a tree, and a craftsman carves an idol. That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death. Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8	But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Do all things without complaining and arguing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world, holding up the word of life. In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety, not with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing, but with good works, which is appropriate for women professing godliness. 1 Timothy 2:9-10	And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes. Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16	So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. wisdom life mind

Now the God of perseverance and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus. In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Matthew 6:7	When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. Until the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is considered a forest. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow. James 1:17	Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. But just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior, because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”
