- Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
- Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues without right. - Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- Better is little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble therewith. - The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.
- My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished:
but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. - But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
- A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
- And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
- But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
- For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
- But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
- And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
- And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
- I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
- The wicked worketh a deceitful work:
but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. - His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
- Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
