- I have chosen to be faithful;
I have determined to live by your regulations. - Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God.
- Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
- A single day in your courts
is better than a thousand anywhere else!
I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God
than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. - I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.
- All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
- For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.
- Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
- Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
- Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
- So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.
- Teach me your ways, O Lord,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you. - And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.
- Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever. - So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.
- The one thing I ask of the Lord—
the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
delighting in the Lord’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple. - So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.
- Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?
- Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him. - If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
- We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do.
- And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
- Keep the commandments and keep your life;
despising them leads to death. - You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the Lord’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live.
- In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.
