Lord’s (2/4)

  • Six days shall work be done; but the seventh day is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work: it is a sabbath to the Lord throughout your settlements.
  • Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
  • You may say to yourself, “How can we recognize a word that the Lord has not spoken?” If a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be frightened by it.
  • For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler,
    the Lord is our king; he will save us.
  • Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!
    Praise the Lord!
  • I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
    I have no good apart from you.”
  • The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
    The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
    the Lord loves the righteous.
  • Save us, we beseech you, O Lord!
    O Lord, we beseech you, give us success!
    Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord.
    We bless you from the house of the Lord.
  • Wait for the Lord;
    be strong, and let your heart take courage;
    wait for the Lord!
  • May the Lord give strength to his people!
    May the Lord bless his people with peace!
  • Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
  • Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.
  • Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
    the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.
  • Praise the Lord!
    Happy are those who fear the Lord,
    who greatly delight in his commandments.
  • Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
  • And the Lord will become king over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be one and his name one.
  • The Lord bless you and keep you;
    the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
    the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
  • The law of the Lord is perfect,
    reviving the soul;
    the decrees of the Lord are sure,
    making wise the simple.
  • Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with all of you.
  • The precepts of the Lord are right,
    rejoicing the heart;
    the commandment of the Lord is clear,
    enlightening the eyes.
  • Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
    teach me your paths.
  • Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.
  • Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
    Lord, hear my voice!
    Let your ears be attentive
    to the voice of my supplications!
  • The Lord is my light and my salvation;
    whom shall I fear?
    The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
    of whom shall I be afraid?
  • Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.
