- The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it,
the world and all who live in it. - The way of God is blameless,
and the Lord’s promise proves true;
he is a shield to all
who flee to him for safety. - The way of God is blameless;
the Lord’s promise has proved true.
He is a shield to all
who take refuge in him. - If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
- Many are the plans in a human mind,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will prevail. - Seek the Lord,
all you humble of the land
who obey his commands.
Seek righteousness, seek humility;
then perhaps you may find shelter
on the day of the Lord’s anger. - My son, do not ignore the Lord’s discipline
or refuse to accept his rebuke.
For the Lord disciplines those whom he loves,
just as a father chastises a beloved son. - This is the Lord’s message to Zerubbabel: Not by force, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
- The love of the Lord is never exhausted,
nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end.
They are renewed every morning;
his faithfulness never ceases. - When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt.
- If you refrain from traveling on the Sabbath
and from engaging in your own interests on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a day of joy
and regard the Lord’s holy day as honorable,
if you honor it by not going your own way,
serving your own interests,
or attending to your own affairs;
then you will find true happiness in the Lord,
and I will enable you to ride
upon the heights of the earth.
I will nourish you with the heritage of your father Jacob,
for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. - I am confident that I will behold the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - I then heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!”

- Therefore, my beloved brethren, stand firm and immovable, devoting yourselves completely to the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
- The Lord then said, “Very well. All that he has is in your power. However, you may not lay a hand upon him.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.

- He builds his upper chambers in the heavens
and establishes his vault of the sky over the earth—
the Lord is his name. - And as we gaze upon the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, all of us are being transformed into that same image from glory to glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
- There is only one thing I ask of the Lord,
just one thing I seek:
to dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
so that I may enjoy the beauty of the Lord
and gaze on his temple. - All this took place in order to fulfill what the Lord had announced through the prophet:

a name that means “God is with us.” - But from everlasting to everlasting
the kindness of the Lord is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children,
with those who keep his covenant
and diligently observe his commandments.
For six days work can be done, but the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, a holy assembly. You will do no work on it; it is a Sabbath of the Lord in all of your dwellings.It is better to be a patient man rather than a warrior,
one who controls his temper rather than one who captures a city.
