Mankind (2/4)

Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.
Then I saw all the labor and achievement that is the envy of a man’s neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind. And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
He said to them, “Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless. Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.
A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding.Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding.
He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
But many will be last who are first, and first who are last. But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.
Even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many. But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man.For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.
Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many.Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.
As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
That which makes a man to be desired is his kindness. A poor man is better than a liar. What a person desires is unfailing love; better to be poor than a liar.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all.The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.
For Yahweh your God will bless you, as he promised you. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. You will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don’t have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind. One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name.Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
Yahweh God made a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive, as is happening today. You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
