Chinese (traditional)- Before destruction the heart of man is proud,
but before honor is humility. - A fool vents all of his anger,
but a wise man brings himself under control. - There is a way which seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death. - This poor man cried, and Yahweh heard him,
and saved him out of all his troubles. - Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good.
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.
- Better is a little that the righteous has,
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but Yahweh upholds the righteous. - Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.
- It is a snare to a man to make a rash dedication,
then later to consider his vows. - Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator.
- Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
- So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
- It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife,
but every fool will be quarreling. - Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth.
How good is a word at the right time! - A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;
but the simple pass on, and suffer for it. - His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
- Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness,
for you reward every man according to his work. - Praise Yah!
Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh,
who delights greatly in his commandments. - Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.
- For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
- So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
- The fear of man proves to be a snare,
but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe. - He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “All of you drink it, for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.”
- Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.
- So that with good courage we say,
“The Lord is my helper. I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”
Like water reflects a face,
so a man’s heart reflects the man. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.Next verse! With image
