Matthew 11:2 (5/5)

  • Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
  • So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
  • Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
  • Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
  • Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
  • Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
  • But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
  • Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
  • Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.
  • And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
  • Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
  • Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
  • And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
  • Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
