Bible Verses about 'Mortals'

With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can mortals do to me?The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in mortals. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans.
He replied, “What is impossible for mortals is possible for God.”Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
What are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them? What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I am not afraid; what can flesh do to me?In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; God has made the one as well as the other, so that mortals may not find out anything that will come after them. When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for the Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them as their God; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.”And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
I, I am he who comforts you; why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die, a human being who fades like grass?I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass.
