- So then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
- A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.
- When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business. He shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.
- But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.
- For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.
- One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
- We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds.
- Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus.
- But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.
- Therefore be merciful,
even as your Father is also merciful. - But just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior, because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
- You shall most certainly not make gods of silver or gods of gold for yourselves to be alongside me.
- Whoever loves correction loves knowledge,
but he who hates reproof is stupid. - Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters and to be well-pleasing in all things, not contradicting, not stealing, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.
