Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my help and my God.

Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.But surely, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.
But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.My times are in your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors.
My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.My child, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life and abundant welfare they will give you.
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”

My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart.My child, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.
