- And you will say in that day:
“Give thanks to the Lord,
call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples,
proclaim that his name is exalted.” - I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever. - I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! - In the path of your judgments,
O Lord, we wait for you;
your name and remembrance
are the desire of our soul. - To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
- But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
- Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and his name one.
- For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.
- Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
- She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
- And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. - Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples! - For you are my rock and my fortress;
and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me. - O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you; I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
- Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear your name. - And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
- A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold. - Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!
- Who builds his upper chambers in the heavens
and founds his vault upon the earth;
who calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out upon the surface of the earth—
the Lord is his name. - Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.” - And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes.
- And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.”
