- Sing to God, sing praise to his name;
exalt him who rides upon the clouds.
Rejoice in the presence of this God
whose name is the Lord.
The Father of orphans and the defender of widows:
such is God in his holy dwelling place. - I will extol you, my God and King;
I will bless your name forever and ever. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name give glory
because of your kindness and faithfulness. - I will rejoice and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - The Lord will become king over the whole earth. When that day comes, he will be the only Lord, and his name will be the only name.
- As we proceed in the path of your judgments,
we wait for you, O Lord;
your name and your renown
are all that our heart desires. - Anyone who is victorious will be dressed like these in white robes, and I shall not blot his name from the book of life. Rather, I shall acknowledge it in the presence of my Father and his angels.
- To him all the Prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins through his name.
- Whatever you ask in my name I will do,
so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. - However, to those who did accept him
and who believed in his name
he granted the power to become children of God. - For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.
- Give thanks to the Lord, invoke his name;
proclaim his deeds among the peoples. - Those who revere your name place their trust in you,
for you never abandon those who seek you, O Lord. - She will give birth to a son, and you shall name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
- Until now, in my name,
you have not asked for anything.
Ask and you will receive,
so that your joy may be complete. - He builds his upper chambers in the heavens
and establishes his vault of the sky over the earth—
the Lord is his name. - But for you who fear my name
the sun of justice will arise
with its healing rays.
You will emerge leaping
like calves released from the stall. - There is no salvation in anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to men by which we can be saved.
- Teach me your ways, O Lord,
so that I may walk in your truth;
let me worship your name
with an undivided heart. - An honorable name is more to be desired than great riches,
and high esteem is preferable to silver and gold. - Blessed are you when people hate you and ostracize you, when they insult you and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man.
- However, the Advocate, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you everything
and remind you of all
that I have said to you. - This is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.’ - O Lord, you are my God.
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for you have accomplished wonderful things,
formulated in ages past, faithful and sure. - I intend to prove the holiness of my great name which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. Thus, the nations will know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I will display my holiness in their sight.
