Not (3/4)

Don’t let him who eats despise him who doesn’t eat. Don’t let him who doesn’t eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him. Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.
He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.
The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.
You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh.Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.You must not covet your neighbor’s house. You must not covet your neighbor’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil. And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!
Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects. Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.
Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.
Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword.Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.
I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. O God, you will not despise a broken and contrite heart. The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.
Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.
And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world. He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.
While we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.

We, being Jews by nature and not Gentile sinners, yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law.
