- A truthful witness will not lie,
but a false witness pours out lies. - “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.

- He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life.
- Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.
- Or can one walk on hot coals,
and his feet not be scorched? - Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me? - What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
- But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength.
They will mount up with wings like eagles.
They will run, and not be weary.
They will walk, and not faint. - He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me isn’t worthy of me.
- I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. - He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress.
I will not be shaken. - Turn my heart toward your statutes,
not toward selfish gain. - Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and doesn’t sin.
- Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- So then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
- I am inquired of by those who didn’t ask.
I am found by those who didn’t seek me.
I said, ‘See me, see me,’ to a nation that was not called by my name. - Lord, all my desire is before you.
My groaning is not hidden from you. - Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.
- For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.
- But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
