- Yet I am the Lord your God
Ever since the land of Egypt,
And you shall know no God but Me;
For there is no savior besides Me. - Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
- The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands. - Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
- But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
- O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off. - Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
- Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord;
Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. - Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is with those who uphold my life. - No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
- Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Truly my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation. - Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God. - God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble. - And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.
- God shall bless us,
And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him. - There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
- Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord,
And give ear to my cry;
Do not be silent at my tears;
For I am a stranger with You,
A sojourner, as all my fathers were. - I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works. - Yes, in the way of Your judgments,
O Lord, we have waited for You;
The desire of our soul is for Your name
And for the remembrance of You. - Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.
- Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men! - But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
- Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
