- Hear my prayer, O Lord;
listen to my plea!
Answer me because you are faithful and righteous. - Teach me your ways, O Lord,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you. - Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love,
which you have shown from long ages past.
Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.
Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O Lord. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name goes all the glory
for your unfailing love and faithfulness. - And yet, O Lord, you are our Father.
We are the clay, and you are the potter.
We all are formed by your hand. - I take joy in doing your will, my God,
for your instructions are written on my heart. - May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord,
for our hope is in you alone. - Have mercy on me, O God,
because of your unfailing love.
Because of your great compassion,
blot out the stain of my sins.
Wash me clean from my guilt.
Purify me from my sin. - Help us, O God of our salvation!
Help us for the glory of your name.
Save us and forgive our sins
for the honor of your name. - The Lord will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
Don’t abandon me, for you made me. - Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. - O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. - You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord. - Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you. - But Lord, you remain the same forever!
Your throne continues from generation to generation. - O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. - Hear my prayer, O Lord!
Listen to my cries for help!
Don’t ignore my tears.
For I am your guest—
a traveler passing through,
as my ancestors were before me. - O Lord, I will honor and praise your name,
for you are my God.
You do such wonderful things!
You planned them long ago,
and now you have accomplished them. - O God, you are my God;
I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
where there is no water. - How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you. We have never even heard of another God like you!
- Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life. - Victory comes from you, O Lord.
May you bless your people. - I will thank you, Lord, among all the people.
I will sing your praises among the nations. - Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.
