We are the clay, and you are the potter.
We all are formed by your hand. - Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.

O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. - Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you. - Help us, O God of our salvation!

Save us and forgive our sins
for the honor of your name. - The Lord will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
Don’t abandon me, for you made me. - Have mercy on me, O God,

Because of your great compassion,
blot out the stain of my sins.
Wash me clean from my guilt.
Purify me from my sin. - How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you. We have never even heard of another God like you!

and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. - Hear my prayer, O Lord!
Listen to my cries for help!
Don’t ignore my tears.
For I am your guest—
a traveler passing through,
as my ancestors were before me. - O Lord, I will honor and praise your name,
for you are my God.
You do such wonderful things!
You planned them long ago,
and now you have accomplished them. - O God, you are my God;
I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
where there is no water. - Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life. - I take joy in doing your will, my God,
for your instructions are written on my heart. - Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord,
for our hope is in you alone. - Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. - You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord. - But Lord, you remain the same forever!
Your throne continues from generation to generation. - O Israel, my faithless people,
come home to me again,
for I am merciful.
I will not be angry with you forever. - O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!
