We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other.We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.

God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
It is honorable for a man to stop striving, Since any fool can start a quarrel.It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.
He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth.
For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors for ever and ever.
Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.
A fool despises his father’s instruction, But he who receives correction is prudent.A fool spurns a parent’s discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
For in much wisdom is much grief, And he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.
And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good?And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?

And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.
