- Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to all those on whom his favor rests. - But he answered me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Hence, I will boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell within me.
- In peace I lie down and sleep,
for only with your help, O Lord,
can I rest secure. - May the Lord grant strength to his people.
May the Lord bless his people with peace. - “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil,
but those who counsel peace have joy. - The desires of the flesh result in death, but the desires of the Spirit result in life and peace.
- May the God of peace—who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant— make you perfect in every respect so that you may do his will. And may he enable us to achieve what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Seek peace with everyone, as well as the holiness without which no one will ever see the Lord.
- Therefore, now that we have been justified by faith, we are at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- And let the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it was for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful.
- Then the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
- As much as possible, and to the extent of your ability, live in peace with everyone.
- Do the things that you have learned, received, and heard from me and that you saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may grow rich in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart.
- I have told you this
so that in me you may be in peace.
In the world
you will endure suffering.
But take courage!
I have overcome the world. - The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord shine his face upon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace. - Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from anything that can defile flesh or spirit, and thereby make our holiness perfect in the fear of God.
- In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
- After you have suffered for a brief period, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and support you.
- How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
who bears good news and proclaims glad tidings,
announcing salvation and saying to Zion,
“Your God is king.” - For a child has been born to us,
a son has been given to us.
Upon his shoulders dominion rests,
and this is the name he has been given:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. - For:
“If anyone wishes to love life
and to experience good days,
he must restrain his tongue from evil
and his lips from deceitful speech.
He must turn away from evil and do good,
seek peace and pursue it.” - Meanwhile, the Church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed peace, building up strength and living in the fear of the Lord. Encouraged by the Holy Spirit, the Church grew in numbers.
Although the mountains may be shaken
and the hills may totter,
my steadfast love will not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace will never be shaken,
says the Lord who has compassion on you.For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. At dawn let me experience your kindness,
for in you I place my trust.
Show me the path I must walk,
for to you I lift up my soul.Next verse! With image
