| Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. | Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen, how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles. |

| Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. | Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people. |
| Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. | Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. |
| He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. | That he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints. |
| Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. | Don’t turn to the right hand nor to the left. Remove your foot from evil. |
| For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord. | For whoever finds me finds life, and will obtain favor from Yahweh. |
