- A fool’s wrath is known at once,
But a prudent man covers shame. - Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers,
But a prudent wife is from the Lord. - A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself;
The simple pass on and are punished. - A fool despises his father’s instruction,
But he who receives correction is prudent. - In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,
But he who restrains his lips is wise. - Who is wise?
Let him understand these things.
Who is prudent?
Let him know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right;
The righteous walk in them,
But transgressors stumble in them. - Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace;
When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
