- Fools show their anger at once,
but the prudent ignore an insult. - House and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord. - A fool despises a parent's instruction,
but the one who heeds admonition is prudent. - The clever see danger and hide;
but the simple go on, and suffer for it. - When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but the prudent are restrained in speech. - Those who are wise understand these things;
those who are discerning know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right,
and the upright walk in them,
but transgressors stumble in them.
When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
