Chinese (traditional)- I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts. - I will hasten and not delay
to obey your commands. - I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life. - Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path. - Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - You are my refuge and my shield;
I have put my hope in your word. - The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple. - Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me. - All your words are true;
all your righteous laws are eternal. - Great peace have those who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble. - Save me, Lord,
from lying lips
and from deceitful tongues. - I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber. - The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain. - Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in obedience to him. - Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy. - I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. - How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity! - The Lord will vindicate me;
your love, Lord, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands. - You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar. - Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely. - Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. - For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life.Next verse!With image
