- Then the Lord God said, “See, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
- For your steadfast love is as high as the heavens;
your faithfulness extends to the clouds. - The Almighty —we cannot find him;
he is great in power and justice,
and abundant righteousness he will not violate. - In my distress I called upon the Lord;

From his temple he heard my voice,

- Blessed are those who trust in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
They shall be like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots by the stream.
It shall not fear when heat comes,
and its leaves shall stay green;
in the year of drought it is not anxious,
and it does not cease to bear fruit. - The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them. - Like a city breached, without walls,
is one who lacks self-control. - For all of us make many mistakes. Anyone who makes no mistakes in speaking is perfect, able to keep the whole body in check with a bridle.
- Who builds his upper chambers in the heavens,
and founds his vault upon the earth;
who calls for the waters of the sea,
and pours them out upon the surface of the earth—
the Lord is his name. - This is what I have seen to be good: it is fitting to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of the life God gives us; for this is our lot.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
