Say to him, “Take away all guilt and give us what is good, so that we may present as offerings the bullocks from our stalls.”
Let us search out and examine our ways, And turn back to the Lord.Let us examine and test our ways and return to the Lord.
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.So shall my word be that issues forth from my mouth. As he came from his mother’s womb, naked shall he return, To go as he came; And he shall take nothing from his labor Which he may carry away in his hand.Just as he came forth naked from his mother’s womb, so shall he depart, naked as he came, with nothing remaining from his labor that he can carry away in his hands.

“Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord God, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?”Do I derive any pleasure from the death of the wicked? asks the Lord God. Would I not rather rejoice to see them turn away from their wickedness and live?
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his very life? Or what can he give in exchange for his life?
“Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.” ’ But they did not hear nor heed Me,” says the Lord.Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the prophets of that time proclaimed. Thus says the Lord of hosts: Forsake your evil ways and your evil deeds. But they refused to listen or to pay attention to me, says the Lord.
Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.Two are better than one: they earn a far greater reward for their toil.
Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin.Repent and renounce all your transgressions. Otherwise your iniquity will prove to be your downfall.

Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not demand the return of what is yours from the one who has taken it.

Do not neglect to attend your assemblies, as some do, but rather encourage one another, especially since you can see the Day approaching.

But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.But the one who did not know those wishes, and who acted in such a manner as to deserve a beating, will be beaten less severely. Much will be demanded of a person to whom much has been given, and even more will be asked of a person to whom more has been entrusted.
