Bible Verses about 'Rise up'

And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.You shall keep these things that I command you today in your heart. Teach them to your children. You shall talk of them when you are sitting in your home, and when you are walking along the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.
Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.Even if an army encamps against me, my heart will not succumb to fear; even if war breaks out against me, I will not have my trust shaken.
Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went inside, and he saw and believed. They still did not understand the Scripture indicating that he must rise from the dead.
He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’He is not here. He has been raised. Remember what he told you while he was still in Galilee: that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified and rise again on the third day.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. When the command is given, at the sound of the archangel’s voice and the call of God’s trumpet, the Lord himself will descend from heaven, and those who have died in Christ will be the first to rise. Then those of us who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them on clouds in the air to meet the Lord. And so, we will be with the Lord forever.
O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.O Lord, you have examined me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I stand; you perceive my thoughts from a distance.
Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble.Arise, O Lord! Lift up your hand, O God! Do not forget the afflicted.
Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.Behold, we are now going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and on the third day he will be raised to life.
Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.But even so the Lord is waiting to be gracious to you, and he will rise up to grant you his compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.
Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come— that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles. But I have had help from God to this very day, and I stand here and testify to both the lowly and the great. I assert nothing more than what the Prophets and Moses said would occur: that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light to the people and to the Gentiles.
But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. But for you who fear my name the sun of justice will arise with its healing rays. You will emerge leaping like calves released from the stall.
Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.Hatred stirs up strife, but love overlooks all offenses.
He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet.
And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. And now, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
If I say, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.When I realized that my foot was slipping, your kindness, O Lord, raised me up.
And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he departed from them and was taken up to heaven.
A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.A gentle reply turns away wrath, but a harsh word arouses anger.
A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.A man’s pride will bring him low, but lowly souls will rise to honor.
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. After he said this, he was lifted up as they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight.
Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”Then he said to all who were with him, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.Then, after he had spoken to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven, and there he took his place at the right hand of God.
The vine has dried up, And the fig tree has withered; The pomegranate tree, The palm tree also, And the apple tree— All the trees of the field are withered; Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men.The vine has withered; the fig tree droops. The pomegranate, the palm, and the apple tree— all the trees of the field have dried up. And the joy of the people has also withered away.

The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.The Lord makes poor and makes rich, he humbles and he also exalts.
