Bible Verses about 'Sake'
- For thou art my rock and my fortress;
therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. - He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
- Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:
save me for thy mercies' sake. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of thy name:
and deliver us, and purge away our sins,
for thy name's sake. - For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
- Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
- But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
- Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
but unto thy name give glory,
for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. - Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
- Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
- And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
- Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
- Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses;
for they have been ever of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth,
nor my transgressions:
according to thy mercy remember thou me
for thy goodness' sake, O Lord. - Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.
- And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
- But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
- For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
- For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
