- Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
- See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
- Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
- I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living. - If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.
- Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
- When goods increase,
They increase who eat them;
So what profit have the owners
Except to see them with their eyes? - See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
- No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
- Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth,
Who have upheld His justice.
Seek righteousness, seek humility.
It may be that you will be hidden
In the day of the Lord’s anger. - No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
- But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
- “Can anyone hide himself in secret places,
So I shall not see him?” says the Lord;
“Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord. - For
“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”
- Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
- And I will walk at liberty,
For I seek Your precepts. - Depart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it. - He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
- Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.
- Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
- No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting. - For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
“Seek Me and live.” - But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
